East Kilbride YM fear amateur football is “an afterthought” for the SFA after the grassroots game was pushed further into lockdown.
The club have been out of action since October 3 when they lost 2-1 to Thorn Athletic in their Caledonian League opener due to Covid restrictions on the amateur game.Currently, YM will only be allowed to return when the tiered system drops to level two – while the professional game continues during the pandemic.
YM boss Graeme Robertson was left fuming after the Scottish Football Association’s Joint Response Group reiterated calls for fans to return to stadiums this week, with plans for 4000 supporters approved in England.
