Griff has spoken to NME about collaborating with Coldplay‘s Chris Martin, and how opening for Taylor Swift at Wembley Stadium will be “one of the most surreal things in my career”.The singer-songwriter was talking to NME backstage at BBC Radio One’s Big Weekend, where she spoke of how much she was looking forward to the Eras Tour stop in the capital on June 22.“Eight-year-old me who had ‘Fearless’ on repeat wouldn’t believe this,” she said. “I’m unbelievably grateful to Taylor for all the love she’s shown me and my music.”It comes after Swift posted about Griff’s track ‘Vertigo’ on her Instagram last year.“That was very surreal,” Griff told NME.

Taylor Swift has confirmed extra support acts for her London ‘Eras’ tour dates next month.Swift will be performing three shows at Wembley Stadium between June 21-23 as part of her world tour and, to celebrate her song ‘Fortnight’ topping the UK Airplay Chart, has now confirmed that three other artists will be opening for her alongside Paramore.Joining them will be Mette on June 21, Griff on June 22 and Benson Boone in June 23.Announcing the new supports on Instagram, Swift wrote: “I just found out Fortnight is #1 on the UK airplay chart!!!! Coldplay have announced the support acts for their upcoming 2023 UK and European ‘Music Of The Spheres’ tour dates.The band have been on tour across the planet since last spring, and played a host of UK stadium gigs last summer including six sold-out Wembley Stadium gigs.This summer, the band will return to the UK and Europe for further stadium dates following gigs in South America. Across May, June and July, the band will play Portugal, Spain, Italy, the Netherlands and more, with two new UK dates in Manchester and Cardiff.The new dates will kick off in Coimbra, Portugal on May 17, before the band will play two shows at Manchester’s Etihad Stadium on May 31 and June 1.Leading the list of support names for the stadium shows are Griff and Chvrches, the latter of whom supported the band in South America, with vocalist Lauren Mayberry joining them on stage in São Paulo.Other bands set to support Coldplay include Hinds and Porij.
