Goat Girl have released their destructive new single ‘Gossip’ – check it out below.The electronically forward track was produced by the band – comprising Lottie Pendlebury, Rosy Bones, Holly Mullineaux and the newest addition of Ruby Kyriakides – alongside John ‘Spud’ Murphy (Lankum, Black Midi) in Ireland during the recording of their third album, ‘Below The Waste’.The haunting and destructive track sees Goat Girl lean into inspirations such as Aphex Twin, Koreless, Tirzah and Gilla Band. Directed and edited by Pendlebury, the song’s accompanying music video shows clips of a house being destroyed, with clips of Pendlebury standing in front of a projector spliced into it.Speaking about the creation of the stand-alone single in a press release, the band shared: “We started recording ‘Gossip’ in Ireland with John ‘Spud’ Murphy making ‘Below The Waste’ but it felt more like its own thing than a part of the album.“We took the stems from Dublin and reworked them in London with Ruby.

Lady Jane has landed on Prime Video today (June 27) and here’s every song on the show’s soundtrack.The new series is partly based on history, centring on Lady Jane Grey, a Tudor noblewoman who briefly claimed the English and Irish throne in 1553.Known as the ‘Nine-Day Queen’, she was beheaded but in Prime’s new show, “the damsel in distress saves herself.”A synopsis says it is “a radical retelling of English royal history, in which King Henry VIII’s son Edward does not die of tuberculosis, Lady Jane Grey is not beheaded, and neither is her rascal of a husband Guildford”.All eight episodes of the show will land on Prime at 8am on June 27 and the series features a cast including Edward Bluemel, Jordan Peters, Dominic Cooper, Anna Chancellor, Rob Brydon, Jim Broadbent, Henry Ashton, Isabella Brownson, Robyn Betteridge, Kate O’Flynn, Abbie Hern, Máiréad Tyers, Joe Klocek and Michael Workeye.Check out the trailer for the new series here:The track listing for the new show can be found below. Goat Girl have returned with details of their new album ‘Below the Waste’, and have unveiled the lead single ‘Ride Around’.The London post-punk group, made up of Lottie Pendlebury, Rosy Jones and Holly Mullineaux, will release the album on June 6 via Rough Trade Records. Pre-order it here.It will be the band’s third album, following on from their 2018 self-titled debut and 2021’s ‘On All Fours’.Goat Girl will also play a string of six intimate UK gigs to take place in March, with a full headline UK and European tour set to be confirmed at a later date.

IDLES and Black Country, New Road are among the latest additions to the line-up for the inaugural Wide Awake festival.The one-day London event is set to take place in Brockwell Park on September 3.
