A 'serious road crash' closed off one of Scotland' busiest motorways with emergency crews on the scene for several hours. Police were called to the M74 near Ecclefechan, Dumfries and Galloway on Saturday afternoon.
Officers were alerted to a one-vehicle crash on the southbound carriageway, which took place at around 2.20pm. No injuries have been reported at this stage.
The exact cause of the crash has not yet been revealed by police.
