Scotland most improved primary schools have been revealed in a new league table published today. The Times' Primary School League Tables has shown the improvements that primary schools have made since 2019.
It was able to pin the most improved schools by collecting data from the Scottish Government website, which looks into the rates of reading, writing, numeracy and listening and talking over the past year - with a score out of 400 given.Comparisons were then made between the figures recorded in 2021 with those reported in 2019.The study also looked at the numbers of pupils that come from deprived areas.
Niddrie Mill Primary School in Edinburgh was named the most improved school in 2021 as it saw its score soar from 200 in 2019 to 370 two years later.
Around 87 per cent of the pupils and their families live in deprived neighbourhoods.Here are the top 55 most improved schools in Scotland over the past two years (school, council area and 2019 - 2021 change score).
