School forced to delay opening after pupils catch Covid-19 following holiday abroad

A school has been forced to delay its reopening after a number of positive coronavirus cases following holidays abroad. Sir William Borlase's Grammar School in Marlow, Buckinghamshire, had been planned to open today but said it had decided to prioritise safety.

The school is now due to open on September 10. Parents and students were informed in a newsletter on Friday, the Maidenhead Advertiser reports.

The headteacher Kay Mountfield said in a statement: "As you know, at Borlase, we are very much looking forward to welcoming you all to school in September and have been working hard towards this aim.
