More than half of school staff say they have had no Covid-19 health and safety training, according to a new survey. Some 2,600 caretakers, teaching assistants, admin and catering staff were asked by the GMB union whether they had had training on measures including infection control and correct use of PPE.
And 51% said they had not. GMB's 'Back To School' survey also found more than 66% are anxious about the return to school, with more than 60% of those who responded saying they had physical symptoms of the stress, like stomach cramps and not being able to sleep.
