Russia has lost so many weapons in Ukraine that experts 'can't keep up'

Russian weaponry losses because they have lost so much. Russia's invasion of Ukraine has seen plenty of embarrassing losses for Russian President Vladimir Putin's forces.

Most notable of the lot is a series of memes showing Ukrainian farmers, soldiers and civilians seizing or claiming Russian weaponry, tanks and other wartime equipment to use in the fight against the invading Russian forces.The amount of weaponry losses is unknown though, with weapons monitors saying they "can't keep up" with the amount of suspected Russian equipment losses.From open-source data of photos and videos shared online, a team of volunteer weapons trackers have documented a total of 2,055 Russian military vehicles destroyed, abandoned or captured by Ukrainian forces.Within that number are 331 tanks, 313 infantry fighting vehicles, 235 armoured fighting vehicles and 40 surface-to-air missiles, Stijn Mitzer and Joost Oliemans of Oryx Blog claim.The pair run the weapons tracking operation in their spare time and tweet the discoveries out as they go, giving money they make through their Patreon to charities that help Ukrainian civilians.They say their list "only includes destroyed vehicles and equipment of which photo or videographic evidence is available."Due to their strict model of checking which weapons are missing, they predict that "the amount of equipment destroyed is significantly higher than recorded here."One tweet in response to Ukrainian forces seizing 30 Russian vehicles near Kharkiv said: "I can't...
