Barcelona and AC Milan star Ronaldinho has been told he can return to Brazil a free man after a six-month prison hell. The retired footballer learnt he was being spared an embarrassing trial over a fake passport scandal at a court hearing today/yesterday (MON) in the Paraguayan capital Asuncion.

His brother Roberto de Assis Moreira was also told he was being freed, but with a criminal record after pleading guilty to using a false document and being given a suspended prison sentence.
