Roger Federer once played a tennis match almost 700 feet in the ait on an insane hotel helipad that had been converted into a tennis court.Having won a joint-record 20 Grand Slam titles in his career, Swiss tennis legend Federer has played in and won tournaments all over the world. However, the helipad of the Burj Al Arab hotel in Dubai is perhaps the most unique venue he has played at and certainly the highest.Federer took to the court at the hotel in early 2005, playing Andre Agassi over 650 feet above the ground ahead of the Dubai Tennis Championship. The helipad was converted into a tennis court specifically for the two to play each other, as part of a promotional event for the upcoming tournament.Attached to the side of the hotel, the helipad is 692 feet above the ground and is used to transport hotel guests to the airport for a fee of $2700.The hotel itself is located on a man-made island just off the coast of Dubai and first opened in December 1999.Federer went on to win the Dubai Tennis Championship shortly after, winning the third of his eight titles, and he beat Agassi in the semi-finals on his way to victory. What is the most unique sporting venue you have visited?
