F1 team following comments from team boss Gunther Steiner.At last month's Monaco Grand Prix, the driver caused the race to be red-flagged when he suffered a high-speed crash at the Swimming Pool Chicane, breaking his car in two in the process.

It was his second dramatic accident of the season, missing the race in Saudi Arabia after careering off track in qualifying.It means the German driver has racked up more than £1 million in repair bills for his team already this year, and that's following a reduced spending cap.

And to compound matters, he's yet to actually score an F1 point since joining the team at the start of 2021.Indeed, a statement released by Steiner after Monaco suggested the 23-year-old's future was up for discussion, describing his latest mishap as "not very satisfactory." Tellingly, he added: "We need to see how we move forward from here."The remarks haven't gone down well with Uncle Ralf, who represented Jordan, Williams, and Toyota in an F1 race career that consisted of 180 Grand Prix's, and six wins: "Such statements are again typical of Gunther Steiner,” he said, via formula1news."They allow for too much interpretation.
