Pub landlord makes grim discovery as 15 skeletons found under boozer's kitchen floor

pub landlord has a grisly shock at the discovery of 15 skeletons buried beneath his boozer. The Harding Street Tavern in Northampton was built on top of a little-known burial ground and went three decades in business before an owner stumbled upon human remains.

According to pub historian Dave Knibb, the tavern was built in the 1800s on land which previously belonged to a priory in the town centre, NorthantsLive reports.

After opening its doors in 1859, it was 30 years before the pub's eerie history, and the bones that came with it were unearthed when work on the pub was carried out.
