Harry and his wife Meghan Markle recently received an accolade from the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP), accepting the President’s Award for their work fighting for racial and social justice.
While on stage, the pair recognised the ongoing war in Ukraine, with Harry telling the room: “We would like to acknowledge the people of Ukraine, who urgently need our continued support as a global community.”Now, reacting to the speech on the Palace Confidential podcast, royal expert Tessa Dunlop has claimed that she hoped for more from the Duke of Sussex.“I generally have very little truck with the pair, I think they tend to do good work,” she began, noting that the couple were not undeserving of their award.But, with fighting intensifying in Ukraine following Vladimir Putin’s ordered Russian invasion, the historian noted her distaste at the ceremony.“I found the whole sort of Hollywood aspect of the event, giving what was going on in Ukraine, a bit insensitive.
