PC Jonathan Ryan, 43, who was based in Salford, was said to have 'abused his position' as a cop. Today he was handed a ten-month suspended prison sentence at Chester Crown Court after admitting misconduct in a public office at a previous hearing, the police watchdog has confirmed.

The Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC) and its predecessor, the Independent Police Complaints Commission (IPCC), investigated PC Ryan following complaints from two women.
