Piers Morgan has drawn up a three-man summer shortlist that would see fallen giants Arsenal competing for the Premier League once more. It's been almost two decades since the Gunners last claimed the title; Arsene Wenger's historic ''invincibles' side lifted a golden trophy after remaining unbeaten for the entirety of the 2003/04 campaign - but it's been 18 years of prolonged agony for Arsenal ever since.Despite turning a corner under new manager Mikel Arteta, the north London side is still way behind the pace set by front-runners Manchester City and Liverpool.
Currently sitting fourth in the table, the gap between the Gunners and league-leaders City remains 20 points. However, outspoken presenter Morgan has hatched a plan to get the Gunners to title number 14, earmarking three world-class signings to transform the top end of the pitch.
The new Talk TV host tweeted on Wednesday: "Arsenal should sign @Cristiano, @gabrieljesus9 & @_DeclanRice. Then we can compete for the League again."The north Londoners are heavily linked with a move for City ace Gabriel Jesus.
Various outlets have reported that the Brazilian's move to the Emirates is already done and dusted and Jesus is expected to formally complete the switch once the transfer window opens in June.HAVE YOUR SAY!
