Piers Morgan was left red-faced after paying a glowing tribute to WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury, only for some technical difficulties to mean the Gypsy King had not heard what he said.
Fury was speaking to Morgan on his new show Piers Morgan Uncensored on TalkTV, where he doubled down on his retirement claims and insisted he was "done" with boxing.
At the end of the interview, Morgan lauded Fury as a "great champion" and claimed he has "had one of the all-time great careers as a boxer".
However, Fury did not hear Morgan's comments due to some apparent technical difficulties. "I've interviewed you many times and I think you've had one of the all-time great careers as a boxer," Morgan said."If this really is the end, I just want to thank you on behalf of all the fans around the world and all the sports lovers for everything you've done because you've made us all proud."Particularly in this country, you've made us proud to be British and you're just a great champion.
