Boxing champion Shakur Stevenson is so confident Tyson Fury would beat Anthony Joshua that he compared it to 'betting on Floyd Mayweather'.

The Gypsy King solidified his status as one of boxing’s greatest when he knocked out Dillian Whyte in the sixth round at Wembley Stadium last month.AJ meanwhile, is awaiting confirmation of his championship rematch with Oleksandr Usyk and, should he regain the heavyweight titles, a mammoth unification would be an ideal future match for the pair.

But with Fury adamant he has now retired, will the allure of being a unified and undisputed champion bring him back for one more fight?

Should it take place, Stevenson, 24, who unified the super-featherweight division last weekend following an impressive victory over Oscar Valdez, does not believe AJ has much chance of beating the Mancunian. "Betting on Tyson Fury is like betting on Floyd Mayweather,” the American told DAZN ."It's for sure… I'm telling you, Tyson Fury, if he fights any of them guys, it's like Floyd vs Andre Berto." Mayweather faced Berto in September 2015 with the welterweight championship on the line. The undefeated boxing icon dominated the fight, landing an impressive 56% [232/410] punches thrown, and 67% of power punches compared to Berto's underwhelming number of 16% punches landed and 22% of power punches thrown.
