J. Kim Murphy Dead bingers are at the center of David Cronenberg‘s new thriller “The Shrouds,” now prepping to launch in North America after debuting at the Cannes Film Festival last summer. Janus Films has released the first full trailer for the film, which stars Vincent Cassel, Diane Kruger, Sandrine Holt and recent Oscar-nominee Guy Pearce.

Nick Vivarelli International Correspondent Netflix pulled out all the stops as it unveiled its hotly anticipated limited series “The Leopard,” based on the classic Sicily-set novel by Giuseppe Tomasi di Lampedusa, which marks the streamer’s biggest splash in Italy thus far. On Tuesday, Netflix held a packed press conference in the frescoed ballroom of Rome’s central Hotel Plaza, which was also used to film one of the show’s key scenes.

Charli XCX has been cast in The Gallerist, an upcoming film by Cathy Yan (Birds of Prey).As reported by Deadline, the ‘Brat’ singer has joined the star-studded cast alongside Jenna Ortega, Natalie Portman, Da’Vine Joy Randolph, Sterling K. Brown, Zach Galifianakis, Daniel Brühl and Catherine Zeta-Jones.The film follows a desperate gallerist who conspires to sell a dead body at Art Basel Miami, and is currently in pre-production and set to shoot at the end of this year.It follows last month’s news that XCX had joined the cast of Sacrifice, the English-language debut of French director Romain Gavras.

La Haine has been announced with a live score to be performed by Asian Dub Foundation.The acclaimed French film will be celebrating its 30th anniversary next year and to mark the occasion, a one-off screening of the movie will be held at London’s Southbank Centre, with Asian Dub Foundation performing their reworked version of the film’s score.The event is presented by the Southbank Centre and BFI and will take place at the Royal Festival Hall on January 19 – you can find any remaining tickets here.Asian Dub Foundation – whose members Steve Chandra Savale, Jamil Jammaz Ahmed and Brian Fairbairn will play live at the screening – have performed La Haine live before, notably at the Barbican in 2001 as part of the Only Connect Festival, and were invited to Meltdown Festival the following year, as curated by David Bowie.La Haine stars Vincent Cassel (Black Swan) as a young Jewish man, Hubert Koundé as a Black boxer, and Saïd Taghmaoui as a young Arab man – three friends on the outskirts of Paris in an immigrant community who live one day in the aftermath of riots triggered by a police attack.Director Mathieu Kassovitz won the award for Best Director at the Cannes Film Festival in 1995 for the film, at the age of 27.The eclectic Hackney-based band Asian Dub Foundation have been blending musical genres from rock to hip-hop to ragga to South Asian music since they formed in 1993.
