Kate Middleton is said to have made some last-minute changes to her Top Gun premiere dress to make sure it kept to a "royal appropriate" style.Her recent appearance alongside husband Prince William at the premiere of the latest Tom Cruise action feature, Top Gun: Maverick, saw the Duchess of Cambridge wow audiences with a tailored dress.But the stunning Roland Mouret off-the-shoulder floor length dress – priced at a whopping £2,700 – had some fixes made to it, which Kate often does to remove revealing necklines or slits.While royal fans loved the look that stormed the red carpet, the French designer's original dress had a noticeable, key difference to Kate's outfit.The original dress from last season, currently only available for rent, features revealing sheer mesh panels at the back alongside a zip down the middle.But Middleton's red carpet outfit was missing the revealing mesh, meaning Middleton's dress had been altered to give the outfit a classier and smarter twist for the film premiere, the Daily Mirror reports.The rest of the dress was seemingly the same as the original on show, with the all black dress featuring a white bandeau neckline.For the latest breaking news from the Royal Family and stories from the Daily Star, sign up for our newsletter by clicking here .The gown is described on the Front Row website, where it is available for rent, as sitting "elegantly off-the-shoulder to flatter your décolletage".The description continues: "Cut from sculpting stretch-crepe, this elegant design is darted at the waist and hips to create a beautiful hourglass silhouette.
