Sisters to be kicked out of family home just three weeks after mum died of cancer
family home just three weeks after their mum passed away.Brogan Webb, 23, claimed a housing association named Sanctuary were making her and sister Taylor homeless.Brogan, from Glasgow, took to Twitter to call out the housing association and told them she will fight them with everything she has.She tweeted: "After losing our mum to cancer less than 3 weeks ago, my sister and I have been told by @HelloSanctuary that we are to vacate our family home in the next 2 weeks, forcing us into homelessness."She continued: "I'm not one to share my business online but this is too important not to.“We have been advised that as my sister & I have both lived in student accommodation within the last 12 months, we gave up any rights to the house after my mum died.“They have not provided an alternative to homelessness despite us advising them we can afford the rent.”Sanctuary are still moving forward with the eviction despite local Labour MP Paul Sweeney helping the sisters with their appeal, with the pair set to lose the house just a few weeks after their mother passed away.Brogan continued: "My sister and I are not yet destitute, we have a roof over our heads and can afford to stay where we are."We currently live in a 3 bedroom flat & are not naive in thinking that we would be able to keep this with there only being two of us now living here."Sanctuary Housing have dragged their heels in responding to my emails, not answering calls and being overall extremely difficult to deal with. Their lack of compassion during the worst time in our lives should be shared for all to see." A spokesperson for Sanctuary told The Sun: "We are very sorry for the loss the family has suffered and understand this is an extremely sad time.
