Adam Sandler plays an astronaut sent to the edge of the solar system in sci-fi drama Spaceman.Directed by Johan Renck (Chernobyl), the film follows astronaut Jakub Procházka (Sandler) who encounters a creature at the edge of the solar system that helps him put his earthly problems back together.Other cast members include Carey Mulligan, Kunal Nayar, Lena Olin, Isabella Rossellini and Paul Dano as the voice of the extraterrestrial spider.The film is based on the 2017 novel Spaceman Of Bohemia by Jaroslav Kalfar, and was released on Netflix on March 1, 2024.Max Richter composed the film’s score. His previous credits include the soundtracks for 2007’s Waltz With Bashir, HBO’s The Leftovers and 2019’s Ad Astra.“The visual language of the film really informs your musical decisions,” Richter said about the soundtrack for Spaceman.

Cillian Murphy’s ‘Limited Edition’ radio show to return to BBC 6 Music
Limited Edition radio show is returning to BBC Radio 6 Music this month.The actor and musician has hosted two previous instalments of the show, both in the autumns of 2020 and 2021, and kicks off this year’s 10-part series on September 17.Murphy will broadcast a “nocturnal playlist to end the weekend” from 10pm-12pm on Sundays in which he’ll “share songs from all corners of his record collection and share why they hold a special place in his life”, a press release states.The Oppenheimer star announced the news during a chat with Nemone (sitting in for Lauren Laverne) on BBC Radio 6 Music earlier today (September 1). Tilda Swinton to perform with Max Richter at Bluedot Festival

Glastonbury reveal huge 2023 line-up for The Park

Rihanna may not have attended this year’s Met Gala but they sure made sure her presence was felt with a sweet tribute to her pregnancy. The Work singer skipped this year’s fashion extravaganza as she is currently heavily pregnant and expecting her first child with boyfriend A$AP Rocky. However, she was there in spirit – and marble – as The Metropolitan Museum of Art unveiled a special statue created in her honour. In a video clip soundtracked to Max Richter and Daniel Hope’s Spring 1 instrumental, which famously featured in Bridgerton, the camera pans around the museum to unveil various busts before showcasing a marble figure of Rihanna posing with her baby bump. Reacting to the news, Rihanna shared the clip on social media and said: ‘Shut down the met in marble! what’s more gilded than that? Lol!
