Queen Elizabeth II died on September 8 at the age of 96 years old at her beloved Scottish home of Balmoral Castle.The country is now in a national period of mourning as the Royal Family and government prepare the state funeral.King Charles III is overseeing the preparations, alongside Prince William and Prince Harry.It is set to be one of the biggest events in modern British history, with world leaders from across the globe travelling to attend.It will be broadcast live to millions to see across the UK, Commonwealth and the wider world.The Queen’s funeral will be held on Monday, September 19.At 6.30am on the day of the funeral, the Queen’s lying-in-state will end and the public will no longer be able to file past her coffin.Then, at 9am, Big Ben will chime with its bell hammer muffled with a leather pad before the Queen’s funeral cortege will arrive at Westminster Abbey at 11am.The funeral will be held at Westminster Abbey, with the country observing a minute’s silence as the Queen’s coffin arrives around 11am.Queen Elizabeth II is the first monarch to be buried there since King George II in 1760.He now lies in the Hanoverian burial vault under the central aisle of the Lady Chapel beside his queen, Caroline.The Queen’s state funeral is being broadcast on TV for all members of the public to see.It will be televised on BBC One, BBC Two and BBC News, with the channels providing wall-to-wall coverage of the event throughout most the day.Viewers will also be able to see it on BBC iPlayer on TV, online or through the app.Coverage will begin at 8am and last until 5pm with presenters ranging from Huw Edwards, Kirsty Young, Fergal Keane, Sophie Raworth and David Dimbleby.Sky News on the other hand has confirmed its schedule for
