A new statement from the BBC includes an apology to a family involved in an alleged scandal with News at Ten's presenter Huw Edwards.
BBC bosses apologised to the relatives of a young person who Huw, 62, allegedly gifted more than £35k to when they turned 17.
Previously, in July last year, reports suggested that an unknown host was named in a complaint lodged to the BBC, which led to Huw's wife 'outing' him as the individual in question.
A review of non-editorial complaints by experts at Deloitte is now done, the BBC said today.The report publicised required "enhanced" safeguards so complaints are dealt with more efficiently.
