Paige VanZant has insisted she's not turned her back on combat sports after signing a new deal with All Elite Wrestling [AEW].
Following a series of sporadic appearances with the promotion, owner Tony Khan had tweeted that he had a deal in place for VanZant, 27, to sign her contract at last the AEW Dynamite show March 9.
Sure enough, the 27-year-old didn't disappoint, showing up to help Scorpio Sky claim the TNT title by beating Sammy Guevara in the main event.And afterwards, she duly put pen to paper on a new six figure contract, and is set to be embroiled now in a storyline with Guevara's real-life girlfriend, Tay Conti.
The Brazilian is a black belt in judo and former WWE wrestler.VanZant's AEW debut came last September when she appeared alongside the American Top Team.
