Once upon a time, a boy wished upon a shooting star for his stuffed teddy bear to come to life; in terms of exposition, that’s basically it. That teddy bear and his aggressive Boston accent, courtesy of creator Seth MacFarlane, went on to co-star in two hit films with Mark Wahlberg, the second of which hit theaters nearly a decade ago.

Seth MacFarlane to reprise ‘Ted’ role for new TV series
Ted in a new TV series.The Family Guy comedian will be reprising his role from the 2012 film, which co-starred Mark Wahlberg, for a live-action show at Peacock.MacFarlane will be directing, writing, executive producing and sharing showrunning duties on the forthcoming project.The show takes place in 1993, before the two films starring Wahlberg.
