Climate activists protested outside a prominent Edinburgh Government office today demanding plans a for a new North Sea gas field are rejected.
Stop Cambo campaigners were outside the Market Street building as part of a protest against Shell’s proposed Jackdaw field off the coast of Aberdeenshire.
Despite having initially turned down by regulators in October, the energy giant resubmitted an application for the location last week.
It comes as UK authorities encourage firms to ramp up oil and gas production in an effort to reduce energy reliance on Russia, reports Edinburgh Live.
