Oscar “Sonny” Cohen, former owner and president of Associated Booking Corp., died on April 10, 2020. The 92-year-old passed away in Boca Raton, Florida following a brief illness.

During a colorful career that spanned more than 65 years from the 1940s through 2010, Cohen represented some of the biggest names in jazz, R&B, rock ‘n’ roll and reggae from Louis Armstrong and Billie Holiday to Rod Stewart, Bob Marley and Mary J.

Blige. Born in the Bronx, New York on May 30, 1928, Cohen broke into the agency business as a 14-year-old office boy for Associated Booking Corp.’s (ABC) legendary founder Joseph Glaser.
