Householders will receive money back from one energy company in the hope to ease the burden of the ongoing energy crisis. Octopus Energy are offering customers cashback when they upgrade to the newest smart meters.

New and existing customers will be able to claim £50 back on their account when they upgrade or install the latest smart meters in their home.

As well as the deal the energy provider is also offering grants of up to £500 to help customers deal with the financial difficulties of a rise in energy prices.
