Taylor Alison Swift is an American singer-songwriter. She is known for narrative songs about her personal life, which have received widespread media coverage. At age 14, Swift became the youngest artist signed by the Sony/ATV Music publishing house and, at 15, she signed her first record deal.
Her 2006 eponymous debut album was the longest-charting album of the 2000s in the US. Its third single, "Our Song", made her the youngest person to single-handedly write and perform a number-one song on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart. Swift's second album, Fearless, was released in 2008.
Buoyed by the pop crossover success of the singles "Love Story" and "You Belong with Me", it became the US' best-selling album of 2009 and was certified diamond in the US. The album won four Grammy Awards, and Swift became the youngest Album of the Year winner.
Appeal launched by EK community centre to install life-saving defibrillator

The equipment was recently fitted near the Post Office in the Village and now the Village Centre are looking to raise just over £1700 for their own.They want to purchase the defibrillator and outdoor cabinet for it, to be located on the outside of their building, near the kerbside, available to use by anyone who needs it.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.

Village Centre manager, Joanne Gray, told us : "Installing a defibrillator is something we have been really keen to do for a while, but no charity has the spare funds really, particularly at the minute. "We knew East Mains Community Council had helped get one installed at the Post Office so we spoke to them and got great advice and they put us in touch with the British Heart Foundation as we knew nothing about them really."The reason we think it's so important is that we have 2000 people
