Nurse caught up in store shooting 'steals lottery tickets' in front of dying worker

lottery tickets after a shop assistant was shot during a robbery gone wrong.And to make it worse, the victim died.Local police in Houston, Texas, said that Lakiesha Deshawn McGhee, 43, was actually a victim of the the armed robbery.It took place at a video poker and lottery ticket shop in Houston County, where Ms McGhee was playing video poker at the time three masked and armed men entered and robbed the place at gunpoint.They stole her cash and one man broke into the store's office, opening fire and killing the staff member inside.However, it later became apparent that McGhee had taken advantage of the situation and stole “lottery tickets from the office where the victim was found” at the J&J Dollar Store, which used to be a house converted into a gift store in the area.Houston Sheriff Captain Jon Holland said: “Also, McGhee disconnected the power to the building security system for a brief period before law enforcement and other first responders arrived.”The value of the tickets stolen has not been disclosed, but it was made clear that the woman did call for medical intervention and checked the man's wounds before committing the heinous act.Captain Holland told the Macon Telegraph that McGhee appeared to have checked on the clerk’s wounds before taking the tickets in the moments before police arrived.Ms McGhee is thought to be a licensed practical nurse.The woman was charged with theft by taking and tampering with evidence and remains in custody at the Houston County Detention Center without bond.And CrimeStoppers is offering an £8,000 reward for tips leading to the capture of the three men.The investigation into the murder is still ongoing, and nobody has yet been arrested for the incident.Stay in the loop with all.
