A nurse who inspired almost her entire family to join the NHS has died of coronavirus, aged 60. Linda Obiageli Udeagbala, from Croydon, in south London, passed away on February 3 after 17 years in the job.

The dedicated medical professional bravely turned down the option to work remotely and instead continued caring for patients face-to-face at Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust sites.

Mrs Udeagbala's husband Francis is a psychiatric nurse, while four of her five adult children work for the NHS, reports MyLondon.

Daughters Cheyrinne and Angelica are a midwife and paediatric nurse, respectively, while sons Gerard and Colin are both mental health nurses.
