Birmingham Live reports. Detectives have made a renewed plea for his mum to come forward exactly a week to the day after he was discovered, and reassured her: "You are not in any trouble." CCTV footage of a woman in the area at the time has previously been released in the hope she holds vital clues, but it is understood she is likely to be a potential witness rather than the baby's mum.
Detective Inspector Neil Hunt, from the Public Protection Unit at West Midlands Police, said: "He will go into foster care where he will be well looked after. "But we are appealing to mum so we can maybe look to placing him back, but that would be for our partners to decide.
