By Tom Grater International Film Reporter Organizers of the New Zealand International Film Festival have stated that the event, running July 24 – August 2, will move online due to the ongoing pandemic.
The country has been one of the most successful combating the virus, and has begun a gradual exit from its lockdown, but restrictions will remain in place for some time yet.
As a result, the fest said it was unable to present its 2020 edition as originally planned. The event will showcase a program of world and New Zealand premieres for audiences at home, it said, and is upgrading its existing VOD platform to cater to demand.
