Neighbours has been axed for good, with production staff confirming they have been unable to find a new home for the Australian soap opera.According to The Mirror, production company Fremantle Media has reportedly resonated to the fact that another channel won't be able to pick up the show.A formal announcement is expected later this week, with bosses expected to say that after an "extensive search for alternative funding", they have failed to secure an alternative channel for Neighbours.It comes after Channel 5 announced it would no longer be able to show and budget the soap.A statement from the UK broadcaster at the time read: "Neighbours will no longer air on Channel 5 beyond this summer.
