While high-end brands have been multiplying their prices, a host of younger labels have quietly been setting out to plug the gap in the market for classic, well made handbags which don’t cost more than your monthly mortgage repayments.With a price point around the £300 mark, I wouldn’t call them cheap, but neither is anything half decent.
If you want a bag that will go the distance, it needs to be well constructed, using quality materials in a relatively timeless shape.
On top of that, it should be manufactured ethically and sustainably. And because this is something that should bring you joy every time you sling it over your shoulder, it needs to deliver in style terms too.
