Kim Burns posted some snaps of her DIY efforts to a Facebook group where it quickly gained attention. The mum of two boys was looking at buying new doors to update her home, but at £100 a pop decided she could do a better job herself.
Kim, a cleaner, and her partner Chris Phelps, who owns a gardening business, got to work with some wood and paint. They decided to re-create the shaker door style using a faux-paneling technique.
