dailystar.co.ukA drunk boyfriend has been jailed after his mum-of-two girlfriend died when he threw a mobile phone at her head during a date night.
Lloyd Kirkby, 27, of Elland, West Yorkshire, previously pleading guilty to the manslaughter of 26-year-old Levi Ogden, who died on the street of the town centre of Halifax.
The mum, also from the same town as her partner, was found unconscious and severely injured in Halifax’s Silver Street at about 2.16am on November 3, last year.
Birkby also pleaded guilty to common assault in relation to one of Ms Ogden's friends that night and denied a further common assault allegation, Yorkshire Live reports.
