A man is in hospital after a 'serious' crash on a Scots road. The smash happened around 3.50pm today on Baton Road at its junction with Shottskirk Road in Shotts, Lanarkshire when a silver Vauxhall Insignia collided with a black electric motorbike.
Emergency crews raced to the scene and the 33-year-old bike rider was rushed to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment of serious injuries.The road was closed for around 4 and a half hours to allow investigation into the collision.Sergeant Nick Twigg, of Lanarkshire’s Road Policing, said: “A male has sustained serious injuries as a result of this collision and we are appealing for information to help establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.“The area was busy at
