Mohamed Salah and Egypt had green lasers shone in their faces by Senegal supporters during their World Cup qualification clash.In the side’s play-off second leg in Dakar, the Pharaohs were subjected to having bright lights in their eyes, as Mohamed Salah faced off against fellow Liverpool attacker Sadio Mane.
When the team carried out their national anthem, the lasers started to be shone in their eyes, with the Liverpool superstar Salah targeted.The lights continued to be shone in the opening stages of the match, in what is thought as revenge for when Egypt targeted Senegal's players in the first leg.
Goalkeeper Mohammed El Shenawy and Aston Villa winger Trezeguet were also targeted as they lay on the pitch with injuries for a period.
The Midlands player also appeared to be struck by a bottle at one point.Egypt tried to inform the referee about the issue but ultimately he was not able to do anything and the game continued.
