Kate Garraway forced to 'withdraw money from pension' to pay off husband Derek's bills

Kate Garraway has revealed the financial strain she's faced since the passing of her husband Derek Draper, who died in January after a prolonged battle with Covid's long-term effects.

With Derek requiring constant care, Kate has had to dip into her pension funds to manage the overwhelming costs.Speaking candidly on Good Morning Britain on Monday (May 6), Kate shared her struggles: "I have had to withdraw the bit you can tax free from my pension to pay for belated bills for my husband, who has now passed away" reports OK!."People are having to do things - it wasn't a huge pension in the first place - which aren't what they saved for."The television presenter has been open about the financial burdens of caring for a loved one, estimating her debts to be between £500,000 and £800,000.
