Taskmaster is coming this month, and the date for release has now been confirmed.The comedy panel game show announced the cast of its 17th season in January, promising a star-studded group including Happy Valley and Benidorm actor Steve Pemberton and Ted Lasso star Nick Mohammed among others.Today (March 12) a promotional photograph was posted to the show’s official Instagram page, featuring this season’s cast, rounded off with Joanne McNally, John Robins and Sophie Willan.The caption to the post read: “Good day! A new series of #Taskmaster approaches.”It continued: “Witness the best of tasks, and the worst of tasks from Joanne McNally, John Robins, Nick Mohammed, Sophie Willan & Steve Pemberton, Thursday 28th March at 9pm on @channel4.”A post shared by Taskmaster (@taskmaster)This marks the 17th series of the popular game show, which is hosted by comedians Greg Davies and Alex Horne.Across ten episodes, the cast will take part in various challenges, set by series creator Horne.

Taskmaster is on the way – and the line-up for series 17 of the show has been announced.Following the Taskmaster Champion of Champions 3 special that aired last night (January 14), Channel 4 confirmed the five-strong lineup for the next series in a trailer showing the cast and their outfits. Ted Lasso star Nick Mohammed and Inside No. 9 star and co-creator Steve Pemberton will be part of the new series, as will Joanne McNally, Sophie Willan and John Robins. Bella Ramsey-starring BBC prison drama Time has added BritBox North America as co-producer and revealed more cast plus first-look image (above).

Tragedy and comedy are sometimes more closely related than we realise - and comic Sophie Willan has mastered the art of this in her new TV show.

'The Circle' is officially returning for a third series and getting a celebrity special. The Channel 4 reality series - which sees contestants communicate over a social media platform with the choice of using their real identity or fake profile - will be back on screens next year with famous faces competing in the popularity contest.

The Circle will officially be back for a third series on Channel 4.Airing next year, the new run will kick off with a week-long celebrity edition of the reality TV favourite, with a group of famous faces set to move in to the infamous apartment block and play the game in aid of Stand Up To Cancer.
