Formula One have admitted they went 'a little bid mad' in their creation, which is set to make it's bow this weekend. The Miami International Autodrome is situated within the Hard Rock Stadium complex, with the track a semi-permanent venue which means it can continue to be utilised for other sporting events and concerts as required for the rest of the year.F1's assault on the United States places Miami as the first of two races in the country this season, with Austin later in the year, while the pair will be joined in 2023 by the addition of Las Vegas - giving America more Grand Prix races than some continents have combined.Excitement levels are rising for Miami, which promises to provide plenty of action with the track being specially designed for Formula One, with similarities to existing F1 tracks in Saudi Arabia and Australia, which go hand-in-hand with regulation changes in 2022 that allow for closer racing. With all eyes on Florida for what could be the new crown jewel in the Formula One season, Clive Bowen, the founder of Apex Circuit Design that designed the track, has admitted the creators went 'a little bit wild' after it emerged that using the 199th street wasn't a viable option due to concerns raised by local residents."We had to change a lot when 199th Street wasn't credible as an option," Bowen said as quoted by motorsport.com.

But that introduced the opportunity for us to go a little bit mad. So instead of us going through the west [parking] lot and onto 199th Street, we turned a little tighter and navigated around the western gondola station."Then we drive straight through the centre of Miami Open tennis complex, which was unpopular as you can imagine.
