Martin had set out during the ITV1 programme how people need to make a will and nominate a power of attorney as well. He warned people who are cohabiting or unmarried that they will NOT get anything if their partner dies, even if they have kids together and have been living together for years.
Martin said that 'in the eyes of the law' it doesn't count for anything and that to ensure your partner gets your money and assets after you die, you must have a will.
