"I just used electrical tape, which cost 79p, and measured out four equal sections to create a glass panel look."I wasn't sure the tape would work but it's easily removed if the look didn't suit."It was a little tricky getting the tape straight but a few attempts and I was happy."She added: "I used Johnstones matt black gloss paint for the wood at £8.99 a tin doing two thin coats."The process took about three days because of the drying time between coats."I also masked up the glass to get a nice neat finish with the paint and gave the glass a good clean before applying the black tape."Lorraine says she is "so pleased" with how they turned out and says she's happy to have completed the look on a budget.And the beauty of it all is that she saved £1,000 on doing everything herself.
