Martin Compston has been praised for his ‘incredible’ Soccer Aid performance after his World XI side triumphed over England in the star-studded charity match.
The Line of Duty star lined up alongside footballing greats such as Roberto Carlos, Patrice Evra and Rivaldo in the fixture.
And the Greenock-born actor played a pivotal role in securing a 3-0 win against the England side. And fans were left wanting more from the actor, who appeared to roll the clock back to his Greenock Morton playing days.
In the 75th minute of the match, Compston played a neat pass through to former Love Islander Kem Cetinay who stroked the ball home to put the World XI side two ahead on the night.
