Mark Strong has said growing up without a father figure in his life means he takes parenthood “really seriously.” The star of Sherlock Holmes and Stardust was born in London to an Austrian mother, who worked as an au pair, and an Italian father - who left the family home shortly after Strong was born.
Strong is married to film producer Liza Marshall and they have two children together. In a new episode of podcast The Road Less Travelled, by luxury brand Belstaff, Strong said his upbringing had influenced the way he brought up his children.
