A woman from Manchester was arrested today on suspicion of the murder of University of Salford student Aya Hachem, police have revealed.
The 28-year-old was held by detectives alongside two others, Lancashire Police said. She's being questioned in custody today and hasn't been named.
Aya, 19, who was studying law at the university and had just sat her second year exams, died from a gunshot wound to the chest in Blackburn on Sunday, May 17.
She was shopping close to the Lidl supermarket on King Street in the town at the time. Police said a car drove past her and shots were fired from the vehicle.
