Manchester United coach Mike Phelan suggested Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's mentality has changed and that the Norwegian is now more thoughtful than he was during his playing career.
Solskjaer restored Phelan to the role of United's assistant manager when he returned to United as interim manager in December 2018.
Phelan was a coach on United's backroom staff during Solskjaer's playing days at United and became assistant manager for the first time in 2008 - a year after Solskjaer retired from playing.
Identifying the difference between Solskjaer the player and Solskjaer the manager in a Twitter Q&A on Friday night, Phelan said: "Obviously, I think Ole is now more thoughtful as a team manager than when he was an individual player.
