Dean Edwards, 33, told paramedics he was going to ‘knock you both out’ before punching the ambulance window. As he became increasingly ‘erratic’, he kicked the front of the emergency vehicle, causing £100 worth of damage to the grill, Minshull Street Crown Court heard.

Edwards, of Hyde, then disappeared from the scene on Hattersley Road. Police officers went to his home address and spoke to his family briefly before Edwards reappeared.
