Manchester United had a £130m bid for Ansu Fati rejected by Barcelona in the summer. The young forward is among football's brightest prospects having already established himself in the Catalan's first team.
But the Spanish side are in a state of financial turmoil and United attempted to test their resolve with a mega money bid. A £130m move would've made Fati that third most expensive player of all time, but Barcelona had no interest in offloading the 18-year-old, reports Mundo Deportivo.
Nou Camp chiefs also had to turn down offers for Pedri and Francisco Trincao. The former was the subject of a £35m bid from Bayern Munich.
